The orchestra has 16 members in between them are students and teachers. One of the purposes of the orchestra is to demostrate the versatility of the drums and the variety of music styles that we can play.
The orchestra is composed by 3 different drums: drum set, floor ton and snares. In the repertoire we play brazilian and latin rythms, such as:
samba, maracatu, salsa, kalango, baião and axé. All these rythms are created by the mentor of the project, Jorge Casa Grande.
Seven years ago the orchestra arose and has already accomplished 128 shows. Most of the shows have been non profit outdoor and indoors, we have played in Cinelândia, Petrobrás, the side walk of Bangu and Campo Grande etc...
THIS SUNDAY WE WILL BE AT THE COPACABANA BEACH!!!
